Per, currently the principal cellist with Uppsala Chamber Soloists & Orchestra, co-founded and played with the prize-winning Yggdrasil Quartet from 1990 to 2011, enjoying a residency at the University of Aberdeen.

Following this, he served as the solo cellist in Camerata Nordica from 2001 to 2016, combining artistic and lineup responsibilities. Since 2005, he has held the position of artistic director for Kammarmusikens vänner festivals, organizing nearly 70 international festivals and masterclasses that attract participants worldwide. In addition to his orchestral commitments, Per contributes to ensembles like Trio Elégiaque and the Swedish Piano Trio, performing as a guest at global festivals.

Recognized for his contributions, he holds an honorary lifetime membership at the University of Aberdeen and has been awarded the Royal Medal "Literis et artibus." Per plays a 1796 Antonio & Giuseppe Gagliano cello from Naples and is known for his strength, lifting 200 kg in a deadlift.
