The Granada International Music and Dance Festival, Cordoba’s “Rafael Orozco” Festival, Musical Encounters and the Academy in Santander frequently invite Antonio Ortíz. He also performs at prestigious halls such as the National Auditorium in Madrid, Teatro Real and Palau de la Música de Barcelona, among many others. Besides Spain, Antonio Ortíz has performed in France, Italy, Belgium, Russia, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Colombia and the USA.
He has also performed with some of the foremost Spanish orchestras, such as the Radio Television Symphony, National Youth Symphony of Spain and the Malaga Philharmonic, under the direction of Aldo Ceccato, Bruno Aprea, Fusao Kajima, Pablo Mielgo, Manuel Hernández-Silva, Roselín Pabón and Blanca Trabalón. Antonio Ortíz has received the “Manuel de Falla” and “José Roca” Awards and made recordings for National Spanish Television and National Spanish Radio.
Recently, Antonio Ortíz recorded Isaac Albeniz’s “Suite Iberia” for Fundación Málaga. He also studied with Dimitri Bashkirov at the Queen Sofía Music College in Madrid and currently combines his concert career with a teaching position at Málaga’s Superior Conservatory of Music.
