Rumen Cvetkov


Rumen Cvetkov has performed in important venues worldwide, such as Berliner Philharmoniker Hall, Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Walt Disney Hall, and the Palacio de Bellas Artes, Mexico City. He has collaborated with musicians such as Ida Haendel, Bernard Greenhouse, Mihail Muntian, Sir Harold Martina, Jose Feghali, Christian Tetzlaff, and Vladimir Mendelssohn.


In 2012, Maestro Zubin Mehta invited Mr Cvetkov to become the solo violist of the Royal Spanish Opera House “Queen Sofia” in Valencia. He has also recorded a debut solo CD, “Brahms Alliance”, with pianist Ludmil Angelov.


Currently, Mr Cvetkov is a professor of viola at Tilburg Conservatory (Holland) and the New Bulgarian University (Sofia, Bulgaria), the founder and Artistic Leader of Chamber Orchestra “Mediterranean Soloists”, and founder and Artistic Director of the MurciArt Music Festival.
