Laura Romero Alba
Born in Málaga, Laura Romero Alba started to play the violin at the age of 7. She studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Málaga and the Galamian International Academy, and is currently a postgraduate student at the Indiana University, United States, studying with professor Grigory Kalinovsky. She has received masterclasses from celebrated pedagogs like Pinchas Zukerman, Patinka Kopec, Jesús Reina and Anna Margrethe Nilsen.
She has performed concerts all over Spain, and in Oslo (Noruega) and Houston (Texas, Estados Unidos). Recently she performed as part of the Hispanian Symphony Orchestra, Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra and the Spanish National Youth Orchestra. As an active chamber musician she is a member of various groups like the ‘River Quintet’ and ‘Camerata Bitácora’ playing both the violin and the viola, performing concerts in Malaga city.
